A couple of weeks ago my friend Amy contacted me to see if I might recreate a wreath she had seen at Pottery Barn. She lamented that every year the wreath had sold out before she could get hers purchased.
Always up for a challenge, I told her I would certainly try. Today I am going to share with you the results of the challenge!
Pottery Barn Inspired Harvest Pumpkin Wreath
Bring on the challenge!
I began by gathering together pumpkins, a grapevine wreath, leaves and berries. Most of the items were purchased at Hobby Lobby, except for a few faux pumpkins I was able to pick up at the Dollar Store. I bought all the Dollar Store had!
Of course, all of the pumpkins didn’t come in the colors used in the Pottery Barn Harvest Pumpkin Wreath. Several different colors and varieties had been used there. So out came the paint to transform the pumpkins! I had so much fun the first time I painted pumpkins, I couldn’t wait to do it again!!! If you missed my post on painting pumpkins, you can find it HERE.
I loved the variety of painted pumpkins!
Once I had my pumpkins completed, I began preparing the wreath. I started with a simple grapevine wreath, cut apart a fall leaf bunch and added the stem picks evenly throughout the grapevine. Each stem was dipped into hot glue to make sure it held firmly onto the wreath.
