Even though it was taken by an older iPhone and the picture is a bit grainy, this is one on my favorite pictures of my granddaughter. I love the innocence it conveys and the child like wonder it captures.
I often wonder what thoughts were traveling through her little mind as she gazed upon the image of Christ upon the cross.
As we travel through these next few days, what thoughts will we have as we gaze upon our savior on the cross?
Can we even really comprehend what this act of sacrifice means for us?
I have to admit, many times tears flow down my face as I sing the popular song, “Amazing Love”, and contemplate what Christ has done for me.
I’m forgiven cause You were forsaken
I’m accepted, You were condemned
I am alive and well, Your spirit is within me
‘Cause You died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be?
That You, my King would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true
It’s my joy to honor You
In all I do, I honor You
You are my King
You are my King
You are my King
You are my King
As I walk through the next few day,s I pray the enormity of Christ’s sacrifice and love resonates deep into my inner soul.
Wishing you a wonderful Easter.
