The countdown to Christmas is fast approaching and thank goodness I can say my my decorating is almost finished …. but I have so many projects I still have to share with you! Today I am sharing one of my favorites.
Christmas Accent Wreaths
This was a fun little project and it made a big impact in the kitchen. It was such an easy way to bring a bit of my Christmas theme into the room.
With just a few small wreaths, berries and pine cones – along with a bit of plaid fabric I began creating these small additions to my Christmas kitchen décor.
Each small wreath was fluffed. You know what that is – pulling the little branches around so they look more like a wreath shape. I found these little ones on clearance for 90% off making them on 29 cents each!
After the wreaths were shaped, I took apart my branch of berries and hot glued a few to each of the wreaths. These berry branches were at the same 90% off sale making them just 59 cents. Each of the berry branches would do 6 small wreaths.
Once the berries had been added to the wreaths , a few small pine cones I had gathered were glued into each wreath. Cost – zero! Total cost of the each wreath — 39 cents!!!!
Pieces of the fabric used in my Christmas theme this year were cut to fashion ribbon hangers for each wreath.
To hang the Christmas accent wreaths from my cabinet doors I simply used a small “command” hook – turned it upside down and attached it to the back of my cabinet door.
I then hung the fabric ribbon from the hook and pulled it up over the door.
For the wreaths that accented the backs of the table chairs, the pieces of fabric were place on the top and the bottom of the wreaths and tied to the chair.
And the kitchen was coordinated throughout!
Such a simple project and such a great decorating addition!
It would be so easy to create these Christmas accent wreaths in your own personal Christmas style. I would love to see how yours might look!
