DIY Chenille Stem Spiderwebs – Simple! Fun! Easy!
I am starting my Halloween Decorating Ideas with a super simple project … One that for so little money can add impact to your Halloween decorating.
This one is so easy I can’t wait to show it to you.
For this simple project you will only need two things:
A package of chenille stems, (I used the black metallic ones for a little extra sparkle)
A package of spider accents
DIY Chenille Stem Spiderwebs
Begin by laying 4 Chenille stems in a crisscross pattern crossing in the middle.
Working with each chenille stem, twist each across the pattern, securing in the middle by twisting.
Taking another chenille stem, twist it on to a chenille stem “leg” and continue working around each “leg” in a circular pattern.
Wrap the chenille stem around each leg with a full twist moving on to the next “leg”.
As you need more length to your chenille stem, simply twist the next length to the first and continue on.
Work around the web “legs” in a circular pattern until the web is completed.
For added interest, glue the small spiders onto the web.
These DIY Chenille Stem Spiderwebs are so lightweight you can use them anywhere in your decorating! I can see them on the mantle on mirrors, hanging from lights, as plate chargers and many other places. I would love to know where you would use these in your Halloween décor!
The best part? These were created for under a $1.00 each!
Stop by for even more decorating fun, where over the next few weeks I will be creating even more fun Halloween ideas!
