Macadamia Encrusted Tilapia with Remoulade Sauce

This light flaky fish is sure to be a favorite in your family!
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 1 ½ cup macadamia nuts
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line your baking dish with aluminum foil.
  2. In a food processor combine all of the ingredients except for the tilapia and blend until the mixture becomes paste-like. If you need a touch more olive oil feel free to add.
  3. Place you fish on the baking dish and spoon the mixture over the tilapia fillets making a thick layer.
  4. Place the tilapia into the oven and cook until the fish filets easily flake, about 10 minutes. Turn the oven on broil and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the macadamia mixture just begins to brown. Note: keep a constant eye on the fish as it broils to avoid burning …. I learned this the hard way! (Insert smiley face)
