Is there anything better than a quiet breakfast outside on a cool sun drenched porch?
Reading a great book. Catching up with the latest news in the paper. Visiting with a friend as you enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea.
Today we are taking time to do just that as we revisit my sister’s wonderful porch.
Join me as we enjoy a scrumptious piece of warm banana bread and a warm mug of tea at our breakfast table.
The dishes we are using are from a wonderful collection of blue Pfaltzgraff dishes in the Yorktowne pattern.
Using these dishes always brings back wonderful memories of my mother. These were her dishes and she loved them.
She collected many, many of the various accessory pieces and it is always fun to put a table together using her special collection.
Even the glasses have the Yorktowne pattern embossed on the sides.
Isn’t the sunlight lovely as it plays over the breakfast table?
White hydrangea blossoms tucked into the blue sponge ware pitcher add a nice coordinating touch with the dishes. You’ll recognize the pitcher from other ways it has been used HERE and HERE.
I love this pitcher. It just seems to work well in so many looks.
A coordinating pitcher holding lime green peonies adds just the right pop of color to the breakfast table setting.
A peony blossom bud was added to the napkin to pull the color through the table setting. The napkins were tucked into the Yorktowne patterned napkin rings.
A garland of babies breath was woven through the arrangement adding just a bit of softness to the look. This garland is so easy to work with and adds a perfect touch. You can see where the garland has been used in other ways in my Iris Door Basket.
I added one of my favorite gifts – a “hospitality” Willow Tree Angel to my setting. This was a gift from my sister and I truly love it.
With the pineapple being the emblem that represents my website, I fell in love with it when she gave it to me.
It makes me smile just looking at it.
The calm, cool colors of the blues and greens are so relaxing. I hope they have done just that for you.
Thank you for joining me at the breakfast table on the porch.
Stop by again for another visit! Hope to see you soon.
I love sitting on my back deck in the morning or early evening, listening to the birds singing. This is a lovely table setting. Love the peony buds tucked in the napkings! Thank you for sharing at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a great week!
Blessings,
Deborah
