I think I may finally be getting a touch of the fall decorating bug. It’s just so hard when the temperatures are still in the 90’s, no trees are turning to the beautiful amber colors and there isn’t a pumpkin or gourd to be found.
But I told myself it was time to stop procrastinating and I pulled out a bit of my fall décor to get a bit of inspiration going.
Easy Fall Vignette
The kitchen table seemed the perfect place to add a touch of fall with a quick and easy fall vignette.
In lieu of fresh ones, I gathered together a few of my faux pumpkins and gourds, stems of assorted fall leaves and flowers and a great wooden tray I had picked up at HOME GOODS on my recent “Girls Gone Wild” shopping weekend.
I found this unique aluminum pitcher that belonged to my mother in law and thought it would be perfect. The wonderful embossed mums and fall leaves made it feel as though it was made especially for a fall arrangement.
I simply love the leaf adorning the handle.
Wanting this arrangement to be a loose and airy “just picked” look, I simply bent the stems of the flowers to make them fit the vase.
These wonderful berry branches work well for many color combinations. I found them after the Christmas season at JOANN FABRIC for just 97 cents a stem. You can see where I used them in my patriotic vignette HERE.
Adding these sunflowers begins to bring a fall look to the arrangement.
These sunflowers are so life-like and a marvelous find at one of my favorite shops when traveling through the Ozarks. The EVERGREEN GIFT SHOP is a must stop for me. One of the best gift shops I have visited and a whole room of nothing but silk floral stems. I never leave empty handed.
A touch of bittersweet is added to complete the arrangement.
It looked so pretty in the afternoon sun.
Now it was time to add the fall accents to the vignette.
First came the pumpkins and gourds.
And a couple of wooden spoons.
I spent lots of time arranging and rearranging the fall accents.
First a bigger pumpkin and gourds.
Next I tried smaller pumpkins and a few bobbins.
And then two pumpkins……
So what do you think? One pumpkin? Two pumpkins? Bobbins? Spoons?
My fall decorating has begun. Woo-Hoo!
Just the inspiration I needed. I am determined to stop dragging my feet.
Thank you so much for the great reference. We love what you’ve done with our sunflowers and bittersweet. We appreciate your visits! – Jason & Rachel at Evergreen
