Have you seen the cute Rhinestone Spiderweb Pillow in stores?
Not long ago while shopping in the aisles at my local Joann Fabrics, I came across a roll of wonderful rhinestone webbing and knew right away I could put it to use somehow.
Keeping with what seems to be my Halloween theme this year, a Spiderweb Pillow popped into my head.
You can see other recent spiderweb projects HERE, HERE, and HERE.
Halloween Spiderweb Pillow
I began by making a simple envelope pillow out of black felt that I already had on hand, and stuffed it with a pillow form I had recently purchased at a garage sale …… brand new and still in the package for only a $1.00!!!
I then cut the rhinestone webbing, making long strands of garland. This was easy, as the webbing was made of plastic and it cut very easily.
I arranged the strands in different lengths on my pillow, creating the “legs” of my web, and glued them into place using tacky glue.
Once the “legs” were glued into place, I began forming the web by arranging rhinestone strands and gluing them onto the felt pillow.
No sewing!!!! This was such a simple project and I loved the way the Spiderweb Pillow turned out!
Right now it has a place on my guest bedroom bed.
And it cost less than $5.00 with my garage sale pillow form! How great is that??

I absolutely love this!! You would never have thought it was so simple as it’s so effective -and looks quite expensive. I’d quite like to give this a go for Halloween, I’m going to try and track down some rhinestone webbing 🙂
