THESE SIMPLE DIY FLORAL TEALIGHTS MAKE THE PERFECT ADDITION TO YOUR NEXT TABLE SETTING
That special group of girls is gathering at your home for a simple brunch. You haven’t seen them in forever, and you’re super excited to catch up on all the latest.
Your menu’s planned.
The house is clean.
And as you brush a stray piece of hair back your thoughts now turn to the table.
You want something special; something at each place setting that shows your amazing creativity and delights each guest. And why not shoot for the moon and make it a little something they could take home with them. 🙂
But, you’re irritated at yourself realizing you’ve waited until the last minute …. Again.
You need something you can throw together quickly and cheaply. You don’t have lots of time, and your budget is well … non-existent.
I’ve got you, covered friend!
In just minutes and for pennies you can create these adorable floral tealights. And best of all no design skills needed!
Come on, grab up your wire cutters and let’s get started creating your own floral tea lights!
Gather together some inexpensive faux gerbera daisies (I used a cheap inexpensive bush), mini clay pots, a few tea lights, ribbon and Styrofoam (I used scraps).
Cut small square pieces of Styrofoam and hot glue them into each of the mini clay pots.
Cut all of the blooms off of the gerbera daisies leaving a stem length of an inch ½ – 2 inches.
Insert one stem into each of the prepared mini pots.
Glue small pieces of ribbon around the perimeter of each tealight. Washi tape would work here as well.
Hot glue a tealight into the center of each gerbera daisy.
Using a neutral cording on your tealights and adding them to your DIY leaf placemats you’ll create a simple farmhouse look.
Now get ready to impress those girls as they arrive to find one of these cute floral tealights at each place setting. Best of all ….. you “hit the moon” and created a perfect gift for each one to take home as a remembrance of the wonderful day.
I would love to hear what simple creative ways you’ve found to add sparkle to your table settings.
