Today I am posting about the baby shower we held for my first granddaughter.
Now this is really going to be a “flashback” post because right now she is four years old!
But the shower was special and I thought you just might find a couple of ideas.
We knew she was going to be a girl and so of course, the theme revolved around the color pink. Her momma loved polka dots and we incorporated those into the shower decorations and treats as well.
The centerpiece of the pink covered table was the cake covered with pink polka dots and topped with a polka dot ribbon to match. The napkins and plates carried through the theme as well.
Baby confetti and “A Star is Born” chocolates accented the table.
The punch table was centered with the bowl filled with delicious punch and featuring two cupcake trees filled with treats for guests to take home. Each cupcake was topped with pastel colored flowers and wrapped in cellophane bags tied with pink baby girl ribbon.
Decorations of baby girl onesies, hung with tiny clothespins, accented the fireplaces in the home.
Behind our beautiful “mommy to be”, you can see the pink and white lanterns hung from the light fixtures throughout the home.
The special day was celebrated by an aunt, great aunt, mommy, and grandma “to be”.
I hope you found this to be as special as we felt on that day.
The little one who would soon join us, helped to fill a space in our hearts that had been emptied with the untimely passing of her great grandma, just weeks after we found out grandma was sick and just days after we found out this new one was on the way.
Our beautiful mom and grandma, “Eloise”, was honored with the new little “Elle Louise” who was welcomed to our family in 2010.
May you always treasure those special people in your life!
