You’re sure to love these Super Cute Tea Bag Cookies!
I love planning parties, entertaining and all that it entails. So when my nephew became engaged to the “love of his life”, my sister and I became excited as we knew planning a bridal shower was in our future!
Setting the theme … deciding on the decorations ….the food….. the fun!
After consulting with our own daughters to make sure we were doing the “in” thing, we all determined a “tea party” would be our theme.
With the theme in mind, we set out to create the special “touches” for our shower.
These tea bag cookies were a perfect addition.
Super Cute Tea Bag Cookies
You can find them all over the internet …. but it never hurts to have a reminder of just how cute they are and how easy they are to make!
For the base of our cookie, we used the same recipe I did for my Shortbread Pineapple Cookies. If you missed, that you can find it HERE.
Once the cookie dough had been made, it was rolled out into a thin layer.
The dough was then measured to make them all uniform. We didn’t even need a cookie cutter for these.
A simple cut of the knife and we had no waste.
The corners were then cut off of each rectangle.
After making a small hole in the top of each cookie using a straw or toothpick, slide them in the oven and bake until the edges just begin to turn golden.
Let them cool and dip each one in chocolate of whatever color you prefer.
We used both dark and light chocolate.
Each cookie was laid on parchment paper until the chocolate had set.
And then we added the tea bag strings with a little heart embellishment my sister had created on the computer.
These were Super Cute Tea Bag Cookies and perfect for the tea party themed shower.
We packaged a few and sent them home with each guest as a part of their thank you gift. Check back soon for how we created the Tea Bag Holder!
