How many of us have old silk arrangements that we want to add a little pizazz to?
A little update?
A little spark?
How to Update Your Silk Arrangement
I recently found an arrangement in a consignment shop that had good “bones” and the container was usable, but it just needed a bit of tender loving —- PIZAZZ!
At only $6.00, I was sure I could give it an uplift and turn it into something that would add to one of my fall vignettes.
I began by “fluffing” the arrangement I had purchased by pulling and straightening the stems.
It really did have great fall colors and some wonderful pumpkins and gourds.
But it really needed that tender loving “spark” added.
I gathered together an additional pumpkin and gourd, a stem of leaves and a stem of berries.
I began by cutting apart the stem of leaves.
I added wooden picks to give additional length to the sections.
Then I inserted them into the arrangement to add length to each side.
I cut apart the berry branches.
I added a few branches cut from an outside bush to give the arrangement some height.
I glued a few of the berries and leaves to the branches to add interest.
A couple of additional gourds were added as well.
Just a few touches can update your silk arrangement.
The finished arrangement was set in a fall vignette.
I love the way the candles reflect in the mirror.
Next time you pull out that arrangement that needs a bit of an uplift, take time to add just a few easy touches to add a bit of pizazz!
