Welcome to another Friday Food Favorite!
The days are getting shorter and the evenings are certainly getting cooler here in Arkansas.
And this means it is soup season here in our home. Ball games and warm soup just go together. And here in our house we are rooting on those Razorbacks! Woo Pig Sooie!
This has been one of my go to soups when I am on a tight schedule and these days that has been the case.
It’s so hearty and delicious that it has become one of our family favorites.
Wild Rice, Mushroom and Broccoli Soup
Gather together the following ingredients:
1 Box of Long Grain and Wild Rice Soup
2 Cans of Chicken Broth
1 Cup of Water
2 Shredded Carrots
1 (10 oz) Package of Chopped Broccoli
1 (4 oz) Can of Mushroom Stems and Pieces
1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 (8oz) Brick of Cream Cheese
Follow these easy directions and create a wonderful soup.
Mix chicken broth, water and rice with the seasoning packet and heat until boiling, Boil covered for 10 minutes. This is a thick and hearty soup. If you prefer your soup a bit thinner, feel free to add more water or broth.
Add vegetables and mushrooms and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Stir in the chicken soup and cream cheese.
Let the cream cheese and soup dissolve.
Heat until hot and your Wild Rice, Broccoli and Mushroom Soup is ready to serve.
